On the road again...

I have driven over 2,800 miles in the last two weeks AND caught a flight to Virginia, as well! The long drives can really wear on me, so I began renting audio books from Cracker Barrel. (You only pay $3.95 a week! A total steal!) Here are the ones I have listened to in the last week:

Tom Brokaw's book about war heroes and the everyday heroes of the WWII era is excellent. Reading it around July 4th is a great way to remind yourself of how thankful we ought to be of those who have fought...and are fighting....for our freedom.

Nicholas does it again! "The Choice" is absolutely awesome. (In The Notebook sort of awesome.) I didn't want to end my 10 hour drive because I wanted to hear what happened next. Great beach read...or bedtime read.

I get totally enthralled in stories like Laci Peterson's. Her mother's story of Laci's life, and loss, is sweet and interesting. I enjoyed hearing more of the personal side of things as opposed to the CNN version of the happenings of this case.

This Sparks novel was not as easy for me to get through as the others, but it is still a good one to take to the beach or read for leisure....

I am heading on a 13 day trip to Alaska and Canada in the morning. I am bringing three books with me and hope to have full reports when I return!
