I have been inspired by so many believers who are asked to walk through very difficult and scary circumstances. Matt Chandler and John Piper, both incredible well known Christian men, have both been through cancer scares and have both claimed that they would not "Waste their cancer". Rather, they would let the Lord use this crack in their clay to shine His light in brightly and savingly.
I am also constantly thankful for the life of Katherine Wolf, a college friend who had a brain aneurysm in her mid-twenties. She has been forever changed physically and, I can say confidently, forever changed spiritually, as well. She is someone who is not letting Satan receive any of the joy he might try to eek out of her very very painful and disappointing circumstance. She is honoring the Lord while she walks faithfully each day. Here is a link to a recent post on her blog that shares a very honest account of her walk through this valley---with HOPE! I can't help but think about Job's faith. He was left alone with nothing- on earth- left. That didn't matter because all he had was already in Heaven. Oh, that I might grow to know the Lord in a way that would reflect that sort of faith and trust!
