This title is just one example of how my mind has been tweaked since being a Kindergarten teacher. I think in slogans, play-on-words and rhymes.
In fact, one time I was typing a banner for the hallway to go along with our Pirate treasure maps. I used the familiar, "Yo ho, yo ho...a pirate's life for me" to begin my rhyme. As I was laminating this banner, I realized that Spell Check got me. My sign now said, "You ho, You ho...a pirate's life for me." To think that I almost posted that in the hallways of PDS is hilarious to me!
There is a never ending list of hilarious things that happen to me. I seem to always be "that girl" who "just so happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time". It is hard to be graceful when you are up against those odds.
can't wait to read more of your life!
ReplyDeleteI love this. That is so something that I would do, except I probably wouldn't have checked it before putting it up!
ReplyDeleteWhen I first pulled up this site, I thought you started a blog solely got Oliver. I was going to have to get on to you for becoming one of those people who treats her pets like her children, but I guess I was wrong (thankfully). :-) Cute, catchy blog name...you're so creative and a good writer!
ReplyDeleteCorrection: "...solely about Oliver." Hate when I make a typo.
ReplyDeleteGlad to have you back in the blogging world!!!
