Bridesmaid scorned?

In the last post I mentioned that I have been (graciously) asked to make the cupcakes for a friend's wedding. I forgot to mention, however, that I have the perfect dress to wear for the occasion. Last year, I was cruising the J. Crew sale website and found this dress at a great price:

I loved the color, style and the price to boot! With no occasion in sight, I snatched it up and it has been anxiously awaiting its turn to be worn ever since.

The wedding is going to be held at Samford's Reid Chapel, where I went to many a convocation (chapel service) in my day. This chapel is beautiful on the inside and out and holds many sweet memories of my college days.
So, as I have thought about a July 2nd wedding at Reid Chapel with an outdoor reception in the month of July, I just knew that my wintermint taffeta dress was up to bat.

Not. So. Fast.

You see, it turns out that the bridesmaids will be wearing mint green dresses, too. No, not just "mint green"...."wintermint green" dresses. The bride chose the very dress I bought last year to be the dress that her bridesmaids will wear on the big day! Thank GOODNESS I found this out before I looked like a wanna be bridesmaid! Talk about confusing the photographer!

Also, while I was perusing the website, I said "yes" to this dress.
